Joan Catherine Beyers, 91, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, June 30, 2024, at home. She was born
February 24, 1933, in Pana, Illinois. She was the daughter of John and Julia (Thomas) Gruber. She
married Ronald, "Ronny," Beyers on April 19, 1958. She always said, "I hit the jackpot when I
married him."
Joan is survived by her children, Susan Joan (Greg) Beyers-Weddle of Pana, Nancy Ann (Scott)
Landes of Alton, Mary Margaret (Philip Sellers) Beyers of Jacksonville, Cecily Lynn (Steve)
Beyers Neill of Normal, and Leslie Elizabeth (Chris) Beyers Terwische of Jacksonville. She is
also survived by grandchildren: Sarah, Ian, and Colleen Weddle, Caitlin, Joel, Olivia, and Trevyn
Landes, Gabrielle Sellers, Cristin, Rachel, and Ethan Neill, and Abby and Anna Terwische. Great
grandchildren include MaKenna, Veronica, Henry, Adalaide, and Eleanor. Her remaining siblings
are sister, Marilyn "Mitzi" Sue Stepping, of Springfield and brother, Gregory Alan (Janine)
Gruber of Pana, sister-in-law, Mary Elle
