Larry Stewart Edwardsville - Larry Stewart, age 72, of Edwardsville passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 9th, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, commitment to his family and the community he served. Born on August 7th, 1952 to Ruby and Will Stewart. Larry was the 2nd youngest of 10 children. Larry grew up in Jacksonville, IL graduating from Jacksonville High School. Larry then earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University before earning his master's degree from Southern Illinois University. On July 26, 1975 Larry married the love of his life, Sherri (Wood) Stewart. Larry enjoyed a career in education. After teaching and coaching at multiple schools to start his career, Larry made his biggest professional impact as Assistant Principal/Athletics' Director at Greenville High School.
